First photo shows what came in each box. New old stock GM part# 01227753 OR 16178766 (remanufactured) heater control for Chevrolet/GMC trucks. We do not have parts books this new and most information we found online is confusing at best - so here is the best information we have BUT IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to know your needs! The pink instructions are dated 1999 and the box was mailed to the dealer in 2002.

This one has clear plastic on the lens and is NOS. The other one, part 16178766 (remanufactured per box) had at least these superceding part numbers: 15169225 16138719 16152129 and 16168766. Online searches suggest 1991-93 years. It has a tag inside the box with 16143956 online searches says 88-94 and/or 1988-90 and tag on part also has 16128435 we could not narrow down online. There was also a'cut' GM key in that box - we will leave it in the box but have no idea what it is for.

When you look at photos, we stack them on each so you can see the subtle differences, including the color and where buttons are located. We have no idea if these would interchange. There is one site that says these were used up to 2001, but we expect you to know your truck way better than we do. Best way to check is to look at your unit's data plate and see the numbers listed on it to see if they match. NOTE: PRICE IS FOR ONE.
